The India Cricket Team began their journey to the WTC Finals 2025 with 10 Test matches. They convincingly won the Chennai Test, but rain can play spoilsport and force the IND vs BAN Kanpur Test to a draw. After this, India will have 8 Test matches remaining and will need 5 wins a 1 draw to secure their spot in the finals of the WTC 2025.
The task won’t be easy, but India are placed in a very strong position to reach the finals. Should India reach the finals, they would be the first team to reach three successive finals, having lost the previous two finals to New Zealand and Australia.
