Champions Trophy: Do tej pory BCCI utrzymywało, że Team India nie pojedzie do Pakistanu, powołując się na względy bezpieczeństwa.
As per a new report in PTI, PCB is willing to make “adjustments” in the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, which means, the Pakistani board is ready to host India matches in the UAE. That means, the tournament could be held in hybrid format, while India is unlike to travel to the neighbouring country.
Champions Trophy 2025
“The PCB feels that even if Indian government does not clear the tour to Pakistan slight adjustments can be made to the schedule, as in all probability India would play its matches in Dubai or Sharjah,” a source in the PCB told PTI. This, when BCCI has cleared its stance time and again, that the final call will only be taken by the government.
On the other hand, the PCB seems to be pushing the ICC to announce the Champions Trophy schedule by next week. “The PCB has discussed with the ICC the tentative schedule which they sent some months back and wants the same schedule announced on 11 November,” said the source.
“It has told the ICC that since a back-up plan is already in place with a revised budget there is no sense in delaying releasing a tentative schedule of matches.”
IND vs PAK Likely in UAE
“The PCB wants the BCCI to give in writing whether they get permission from their government or not to send their team to Pakistan,” the source added. Meanwhile, as per the tentative schedule, the much-awaited IND vs PAK will be held in Lahore on March 1.
In the past, as per various reports, India is scheduled to play all their matches in Lahore, with Pakistan also offering India the convenience of going back to the country after every match. But once again, nothing can be confirmed until the word from the government of India comes.
