Dlaczego Punjab Kings powinni użyć RTM na Arshdeepie Singhu na mega aukcji IPL 2025?

Mega aukcja IPL 2025 odbędzie się w Riyadzie w dniach 24 i 25 listopada 2024 r.

Heading into the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Punjab Kings have the most budget remaining with them. PBKS went on to retain just 2 uncapped players, meaning they also have 4 RTMs remaining. While it was expected that Arshdeep Singh would be retained, but Punjab Kings have planned for a complete overhaul.

As the IPL 2025 Mega Auction draws near, it becomes more and more imperative that PBKS will go all out for their ace speedster to re-buy him using the Right To Match (RTM) option. Arshdeep Singh currently has 92 wickets to his name, after scalping 3 wickets in the IND vs SA 3rd T20I.

Atrshdeep Shines Brightly

This means Arshdeep Singh is currently India’s most successful pacer in T20Is. He is also just 4 wickets behind Yuzvendra Chahal who has the most wickets for the country in the shortest format of the game. Interestingly, Arshdeep has achieved the feat in just 59 matches, the least by any Indian.

As things stand PBKS has three major reasons for using their RTM on the pacer. Form before a tournament is of utmost importance. Arshdeep Singh played a crucial role for India in helping the side win the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. And the 25-year-old pacer continues his fine form in T20Is. He is expected to carry the good form heading into the ICC Champions Trophy and the IPL 2025.

Secondly, Arshdeep has a proven track record for PBKS. Last season he bagged 19 wickets from 14 games and was also India’s highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup. He has been associated with the Punjab Kings franchise since 2018 and shares a strong bond with the team.

And lastly, adding Arshdeep Singh back to the roster will see PBKS greatly strengthening their pace attack. With the pacer heading into the auction, teams will be willing to spend huge bucks on the pacer. But PBKS acquiring him will see them reinforcing their pace attack greatly.
