Hockey India League Auction 2024 LIVE: The highly awaited return of the Hockey India League (HIL) is all set to begin with the Men’s Auction in New Delhi today. Over 400 Indian and 150 international men’s players have registered for the event and will go under the hammer. The men’s auction is scheduled for the 13th and 14th October, while the women’s auction will take place on the 15th October.
Auction Timings
- 13th Oct, 2:30 PM (Men’s Auction)
- 14th Oct, 9:30 AM (Men’s Auction)
- 15th Oct, 9:30 AM (Women’s Auction)
Team Purse and Player Categories
Each team in the HIL will have a budget of ₹4 crores to spend on players, who are divided into three base price categories: ₹2 lakhs, ₹5 lakhs, and ₹10 lakhs. The teams will be picking players over the next two days as they assemble their squads.
Team composition in HIL 2024
Each team must include 24 players in total. This will consist of 16 Indian players, out of which four must be junior players, along with 8 overseas players.
