Puchar Świata T20 Kobiet: Jesteśmy gotowi podnieść trofeum, mówi kapitan Harmanpreet Kaur

Mistrzostwa Świata T20 kobiet rozpoczną się 3 października w Zjednoczonych Emiratach Arabskich, a drużyna Indii prowadzona przez Harmanpreet Kaur rozegra swój pierwszy mecz 4 października.

The Indian women’s team has never lifted the World Cup when it comes to the senior division, be it the T20 or ODI format. But come October 4, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will have a golden chance to change that. The Women’s T20 World Cup starts in the UAE, and India starts their campaign against New Zealand. Last time around in 2023, the team was ousted in the semis, and in 2020, they were beaten in the final, so could they be third time lucky, is the question.

Speaking before the departure to the host nation, skipper Harmanpreet made it clear that they would be only looking to win the trophy. “It is our team’s dream to win this coveted trophy, and I feel, as a team, we have what it takes to lift the trophy,” she told reporters.

“We made it to the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup final in Australia and came tantalisingly close to reaching the final in the previous edition in South Africa in 2023. It makes it clear that the team has the pedigree and what it takes to shine on the biggest stage.”
