Peacock features a robust catalog of movies and TV shows, with even more coming to the streaming service in June 2024. Launched to great fanfare in 2020, Peacock changed the streaming game with its mixture of free and paid content, and the streamer was able to land top-tier shows like The Office because of its NBC affiliation. In the years since its debut, Peacock has further expanded its reach by including many hit films on its platform, and it offers one of the largest streaming collections available. Like most streaming services, Peacock’s catalog isn’t stagnant, and each month the streamer adds dozens of new shows and movies to keep things fresh.
Additionally, Peacock has also become a home for live-streaming sports, and their lucrative deals with the MLB, Premiere League, and World Wrestling Entertainment have made them a truly multifaceted platform. The best TV shows on Peacock represent the upper echelon of streaming entertainment, and the service has begun to create memorable series and movies that rival the original content of their competitors. In June 2024, more than 100 movies and TV shows are new to Peacock, and that’s excluding live sporting events, but in May, the streamer’s most popular content continued to be shows that were available to stream the next day like Law & Order: SVU. It’s possible some of the June additions could change that.

The 30 Best Movies On Peacock (June 2024)
Peacock has a wide variety of movies available to stream, with popular, award-winning, and genre-defining films in any genre a cinephile could want.
The Best Movies And Shows Arriving On Peacock This Month
Anna And The Apocalypse (2018) – June 1
The story of a zombie apocalypse isn’t entirely new, but Anna and the Apocalypse brings a fresh spin on it. For starters, it focuses on teenagers dealing with zombies instead of a group of adults as most of the zombie movies do, which changes the skill level and the emotional reactions to the impending doom of zombies. It also tells the story as a musical instead of a straight horror film.
Zombie apocalypses and musicals might not seem like they would go together, but Anna and the Apocalypse makes the fusion work. The movie might not have been a huge theatrical release, but thanks to it being available on different streaming platforms periodically, it’s developed something of a cult following that makes people wonder if other genres could lend themselves to the musical treatment.
Clue (1985) – June 1
It sounds like a straightforward mystery, but it’s anything but.
The creators of the Clue board game likely never imagined that it would get this kind of movie treatment. Stacked with an incredibly talented cast, Clue is a murder mystery, but also a comedy that leans into satire of the genre. With its multiple filmed endings and iconic lines like, “flames on my face,” the movie is beloved by generations.
The story sees several guests invited to a mansion for the weekend, only to discover that one of them (or possibly, more of them) is a murderer. A storm rages, the lights go out, and more people are killed throughout the night as increasingly outlandish secrets are revealed about the guests. It sounds like a straightforward mystery, but it’s anything but. It’s the tone of the movie that helps to set it apart from other mysteries, making it laugh-out-loud funny instead of terrifying.
A Clue remake is in development but seems to have stalled without writers attached to the project and a move to a new studio.
Ghostbusters (1984) – June 1
“Who you gonna call?” asked a generation of sci-fi fans when this movie premiered, complete with a catchy song for the franchise that would grow from it. After an animated series, several sequels, and an all-female version of Ghostbusters, the original movie remains the best for a lot of the loyal fans. That’s largely because the original movie is when the concept was fresh and some of the sequels feel like they retread old ground.
In the 1984 movie, a couple of scientists have had trouble proving their theories about ghosts right. Having been laughed out of the scientific community, they become New York’s best hope for survival when a powerful ghost is unleashed. With Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd at the heart of the movie, the story is as funny as it can be scary.
Jennifer’s Body (2009) – June 1
When Jennifer’s Body first premiered, it didn’t quite catch on with audiences. Over time, however, it’s grown a cult following and audiences have a better understanding of the more feminist undertones to the movie.
Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried star in the horror story of one young woman being turned into a succubus after being attacked following a concert. In order to survive, she has to feed on men. Fox stuns in the role of the possessed teenage girl and Seyfried’s role as the best friend who tries to stop her could be seen as her true breakout role instead of Mean Girls.
Despite the initial backlash the movie received, the stars have always talked about their love for the movie. Now, the movie exists in a shared universe with Lisa Frankenstein, and Fox has been interested in making a sequel or series spin-off from it.
John Wick Trilogy – June 1
Today, the Keanu Reeves fronted John Wick franchise is a sprawling universe with a complicated lore for how assassins can exist alongside average people and make it day-to-day in the real world. Shows like Peacock’s The Continental have given an idea of just how the safe havens and currency for criminals work while each movie in the franchise has built on the rules.
For those who want a more complete picture of the cinematic universe, the first three John Wick movies return to Peacock, setting up the world for the assassin who just wants justice for being wronged. The three movies alongside The Continental provide almost a full picture before the spinoff movie Ballerina hits theaters. John Wick 4, however, is not available on Peacock alongside them, but is available for rent on digital platforms.
Saving Private Ryan (1998) – June 1
One of the most critically acclaimed movies of 1998, Saving Private Ryan premiered at a time when there weren’t a lot of other big-budget films releasing and it didn’t have competition against well-known sequels. That all worked in its favor to get people out to the theater for a nearly three-hour movie. Luckily, with streaming services like Peacock, movie fans can watch at their own pace now.
The movie, set during World War II, follows members of the military as they attempt to track down the titular soldier who has lost several other family members during the war. Tom Hanks was nominated for Best Actor at both the Golden Globes and Oscars following his performance in the film.
The movie won Best Drama at the Golden Globes, but lost the Best Picture Oscar in a surprising upset to
Shakespeare in Love
.
Also on Peacock throughout the month are new episodes of television shows from NBC-Universal networks, which will stream the day after they air. There are also sports events streaming live on Peacock throughout the month, meaning there’s something for everyone in June.
